Transforming Society Through Effective Communication
Abantu is a social impact communications and advisory organisation with deep roots in health and development, and a growing specialisation in social norms transformation, behaviour change, public engagement, and strategic communications for complex development challenges.
Our institutional journey began in 2010 as Media4Health — established to use media, storytelling, and communication to improve health and development outcomes. By 2019, that initiative had matured into a registered organisation. In 2025, we became Abantu to reflect the significant expansion of our mandate and the wider relevance of our work.
Our Commitment to Social Change
We work at the intersection of people, institutions, ideas, and action. Our work is informed by the realities of Nigerian communities, state systems, media ecosystems, and public discourse.
We draw on the standards of rigor, clarity, strategy, and delivery discipline expected by development partners, government institutions, and sophisticated clients across Africa.
